Currants are berries, closely
related to the gooseberry, they are popularly used to make cassis,
a black currant liqueur. This syrup has a distinctive berry fragrance
and intense flavor. Delicious in cappuccino, caffe latte, steamed milk and iced coffee. Simply add 1/2-1 oz. Also great in banana bread recipes. Add 1-2 oz. Torani Black Currant (Creme de Cassis) to a glass of ice and sparkling water. Also delicious in ginger ale. Ingredients: Pure cane sugar, water, natural flavors, citric acid, sodium benzoate (to preserve freshness), caramel color, FD&C red #40.
