Compressore (com|pres|so|re) the Italian word for tamper or compressor. Since great espresso and Italy are a very natural pairing we thought that this would be the ideal name for the natural feeling design and comfort that this espresso tamp offers the barista.

Weighing in at 1lbs 3.1oz including a 58mm convex stainless steel tamper piston this tamp is larger but lighter than our all stainless steel ProTamp. The machine milled powder coated aluminum handle has the heft and feel the professional barista today are looking for. Debuted at CoffeeFest Seattle 2005 this espresso tamp created quite a stir among some of the industries top professionals.

The tamper piston is professionally machine milled stainless steel, and is available in your choice of a flat or convex tamp piston in the following stock sizes: 58mm, 57mm, 56mm, 55mm, 53mm, 52mm and 49mm, as well as custom sizes to 1/10 of a millimeter for an extra $5.00.

The Compressore handle is also available in an aluminum handle in variety anodized colors as well as several wood handle versions.
